Life Itself

I’ve had seventy-eight years to consider what life is, what it is for, and why it is even a reality for you and I. Before we think of how life is treating us we should, for balance, wonder that life exists at all. There is no good reason for life to be present and without life we have no knowledge of anything else do we? We live a short time that seems long until the last days of life. That is when the shortness comes to the fore. And it happens to us all, a shortening of life, then, death.

It is at this time that we understand how much of our lives we may have wasted. We all do this to one degree or another. You might say that it comes with the territory. It may be an implant in our brain unknown until the chemical changes of aging come to bear. It could merely be the individual, or, maybe, just maybe, it is something implanted in our genetic makeup by God Himself? The bible says a lot about who we are and what we may think. Not to mention how we should act. Perhaps the genetic code has much more to it than science has yet found? I can’t answer any of this, I am not a scientist. I am, however, a staunch believer in God and the bible, both testaments as the first bolsters the new and vice versa. Yes, Jesus was signified as coming in the Old Testament.

Then again, we have what we think we think individually but politics kind of shuts the door on conversation now doesn’t it? You’re either right or wrong and this bodes ill for humanity. Hitler and the Nazi’s thought they were right as did Lenin and Stalin. Our founding father’s were, however, correct as they set in stone the bible as the way forward for our nation. When that path was deviated from by the left in our country is when the wheels began falling off. God watches and talks to us through His Son, Jesus now as God has other things to do. What those things are is none of our business. Jesus is who we should be watching for and a good gauge is the Middle East. Not because I say so but because the bible says so. You gotta read it and get educated if you feel like you’re floundering with no direction to turn to. The bible is about life itself and eternal life is possible for those who understand the bible and follow it.

There I go all preaching down the golden path, huh? I am not one who is not a sinner. I am not one who is perfect. I am one who believes however, and I know how frail we all are. Combat taught that to me in spades. Frail as hell, are we! One second you’re speaking, the next your head is a spray of blood, brains, and bone. Just like that, you’re no more. Just a heap of flesh laying utterly wrecked in the jungle.

Take this from me if nothing else: the bible is truth and cannot be deviated in meaning from God’s word. There are different definitions of terms and not all translations are accurate but God saw to it as only He can that the bible remains true to His message until the end of this system of human rule of this world. Then, Jesus takes over Heaven and Earth and if you are looking forward to perfection you will have it only then.
