The book I speak of here is, of course, the bible. B-I-B-L-E. A work of fiction? When we think back to the beginning of mankind it is difficult to figure out when those people had time to write fiction. Seems to logic that most of their time was spent trying to stay alive. Then again, ignorance of history is a large part of our faulty education system. As is punctuation and grammar. Mathematics and reasoning. Of those I believe reasoning is the least taught.
That said, the bible relates words from on high given to those of us with limited warranty and a definite end to breathing. Therefore, it might be wise to pick up a copy of this book and check it out for yourself? However, when a society becomes perverse in its reckoning the first casualty is knowledge. It doesn’t take a long time either. It just takes the side tracking of importance for the soul of all of us through nudity, avarice, greed and political whim. I do believe we have all of that going down now.
This is what makes the bible stand out to those who want no part of frailty, ease, immorality. It is a beacon and, for the most part, it is free to read. It is not free to disparage but then disparagement of all that is clean and good seems to be a trend doesn’t it? Why be good when sex is free and responsibility for one’s actions is lifted due to social norms? I wonder how many women wish they had not allowed themselves to be sullied by men (boys) who came onto them. I guess it is in the thousands.
The bible speaks of God’s forgiveness and this is the only forgiveness that matters. He does not say it is OK that you did this or that but He will forgive if you adhere to His word from the time of asking to be forgiven forward. That forgiveness matters as He knows all of us intimately. Each of us is an open book to Him which is why the bible should be our guide to life. It actually tells us not to harm one another. How many of us go right ahead and harm one another? We all do. This is why He watches and actually hopes that we will change by reading what He freely gave us. Our primer because in caparison to His knowledge our knowledge is insignificant. Measly, one might say. His knowledge is infinite as is His tendency to forgive. He knows exactly what we go through just to make our lives significant. He stands ready to welcome you but before this we need to understand what He wants from us. After all, eternity is not for free you know. That’s a long time to spend screwing up. Screwing up is finite, ended by death. After that you are in God’s hands. Make sure you are showered and ready to meet your Father in Heaven if eternity sounds like a good thing to you.
