Over my span of seventy-seven years I believe I have succeeded in calling myself every name in the book. Deservedly so, but you know what it did? It cleared the air and kept me humble as I know how to be. Of course, I have my moments of feeling superior to some folks but my memory of stupidity on my part brings me right back down to the proverbial mud. If there is a way to screw up I have found it. I call this, “even keel.” Then again, I have also read the bible since age twelve so you can understand how this world and I don’t exactly see eye to eye most hours in the day.
I want to speak of the bible here as that book, put down by the ignorance of science, is far beyond science unless scientists can get together and create a universe that works. If they tried, it would be a giant pile of rocks that didn’t spin where they wanted them to. All that mathematics wasted! Bow down to mathematics? Not today, thank you very much. Arithmetic is useful. Math is an exercise in egocentricity, the mark of “genius.” If we just had an Earth that would cooperate with all we wanted to do wouldn’t that be just great? I doubt that the Earth was conceived and built for what we are doing now. It is a work of art if I do say so myself and I kind of have an affection for this little ball, glowing in a far recess of the universe. Everything else looks rather dead doesn’t it. Why is that?
All else is dead to make us think. To make us appreciate our little ball of earth and understand it is a gift from the mind that encompasses all we know and more we have no idea of. How small we are to walk around with so inflated a bunch of egos! Pathetic in more ways than we would like to admit. However, the wonder is that we were given the mental ability to know that God exists and find glory in that knowledge. How, did we thank God for our presence? We developed nuclear warfare, that’s how. Why is He going to put a stop to us being so thick skulled? You answer that question, I already know it. Look at where the world is headed, hint, hint.
